Sometimes, the fight doesn't end when your duty is over. You have served this country now let us serve you.
Reintegrating into society and trying to live a normal life can be just as challenging as any combat experience a veteran can have - and resources are sometimes hard to come by, especially if you don't have people on your team who understand your needs and what you've been through.
That's where The Flag We Wave can help. We've worked hard to create unique solutions to the challenges of stable housing, reliable income, wellness, financial stewardship, and community involvement for veterans.
Housing:
Comfortable, and - above all - safe. Due to the construction of the exterior walls and safe room from ICF or insulated concrete form construction, the homes will resist up to an F 5 tornado. A few years back a devastating tornado hit Moore, OK. The only home left standing in this particular neighborhood was made from ICF. https://images.app.goo.gl/vrzfCtu7pthzcBtDA

If only the homes devastated in the 4/27/14 tornado in Mayflower and Vilonia had been constructed of ICF! Anyone, but particularly a disabled person does not want to venture out into a storm. Because these homes include safe rooms with restroom walls and ceilings made of ICF, the resident can feel safe behind a steel door in a storm.
Our Quad-Units comprise four separate spacious living quarters under one roof. Covered parking with covered access to each unit. Wide sidewalks with easy wheelchair access around the property if needed. Playground for children and benches to rest and relax. Full access to the Wellness Center including a place to gather and socialize with fellow residents is included. Meditation and prayer garden on the property for your enjoyment.
Each Quad-Unit Includes:

-
approximately 1,200 square ft. of living space
-
2 bedrooms
-
2 baths handicap accessible
-
Utilities included
All for only $1000 per month.
Wellness:
The Wellness Center will include education on physical wellness and nutrition. Support Groups will be formed on topics to benefit veterans and their families. In addition to physical wellness, these centers will include emotional and mental health support through individual and family therapy including treatment for PTSD through EMDR: https://www.webmd.com/mental-health/emdr-what-is-it#1
There will be a special emphasis on the effects on couples when one or both partners have served in the military. Couples therapy and groups formed to support marriages will also be provided since, unfortunately, being in the military is hard on our vets and soldiers' marriages.

Employment Opportunities:
Entrepreneurship and partnering with business in the community to provide jobs for veterans is an ongoing pursuit of The Flag We Wave Project. Every effort will be made to hire veterans for support services, construction and maintenance. So not only will this be a great place to live but it could also be a great place to work if you have a passion for serving veterans.
Community Engagement:
Veterans have given a lot to their country already. However, giving back is therapeutic. Whenever feasible, our wellness centers will include an area called the I Have a Dream Development Center that encourages entrepreneurship in teens 15-19 years old. This ministry provides a mechanism for these budding entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams via a business mentoring program.
Financial Stewardship:

We all can learn to be better stewards. However, education and focus will be on getting out of debt and staying out of debt to reduce stress and to provide ways for the vet and their family to help others less fortunate.
